New lending library at The Project of the Quad Cities reflects LGBTQ, BIPOC and female identities
The Project of the Quad Cities is trying to help provide readings to identities who are most often the target of book bans. TPQC’s new lending library focuses on LGBTQ, BIPOC and female writings, at a time when Pen America reports explosive nationwide growth in book bans in states that include Iowa.

TPQC provides HIV testing and support services, harm reduction, LGBTQ+ health care, gender transition care, behavioral health, and several annual events to Rock Island County in Illinois and Scott County in Iowa, plus:
