Under general direction, service, diagnosis, maintain and repair heavy-duty transit coaches and other equipment in the City transit fleet. Must have an associate’s degree in automotive/diesel mechanics from an accredited educational institution and one year of related experience; or three years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have air brake inspection certification, a valid Iowa driver’s license, a State of Iowa Class B commercial driver’s license with air brake and passenger endorsement required within 90 days of hire. Must also meet federal drug testing requirements and pass a criminal background check. Position is open until filled.
