Pulling Focus Film Festival

This four-day event, happening at four venues throughout the Quad Cities, "celebrates the rich and diverse narratives of the Black Diaspora through the art of film." Gleaned from 112 submissions from at least 20 countries, the festival features 70 films in all genres, including science-fiction, documentaries and horror. This event is founded by author, artist and activist Gaye Shannon Burnett and her son, independent filmmaker Jonathan Burnett.
