Mental Health Technician Trainee

Hundreds of positions available throughout Illinois for these six- to 12-month positions during which applicant will receive instruction and training in caring for people with developmental disabilities through classroom and on-the-job training; and perform beginning level direct care functions in the care and habilitation of individuals with developmental disabilities, on assigned unit under supervision. Minimum qualifications include but are not limited to knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school;  the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted; and passage of the IDHS background check and drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
