January's Question

What are effective ways to communicate with election deniers about their impact on our democratic system?

Context for the Question

With the presidential election less than a year away, this is emerging as a timely question.

Polls show that more than two-thirds of Republicans still believe the 2020 election was “stolen” from former President Donald Trump through a partisan conspiracy for which there is no evidence

This belief is growing among Republicans, even though dozens of courts at all levels of government have refused to take up any cases alleging this conspiracy. One study even proclaims the 2020 presidential election the most thorough and “clean” election in history.

Trump’s tactic of promoting this unfounded allegation and is proving effective; he now leads in all polls and would likely return to the Presidency if the election were today.
